About the event

The Weill Cornell Women in Global Health Research Initiative is proud to host the 10th Annual Scientific Symposium on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the Belfer Research Building in New York City.


This year’s theme, Emerging Issues in Global Women’s Health Research, will highlight pressing challenges and opportunities in advancing women’s health worldwide. The symposium will feature a keynote address by Dr. Carmen Logie, PhD. Dr. Logie is the Canada Research Chair in Global Health Equity and Social Justice with Marginalized Populations, a Professor at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. Keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion on maintaining women's health as a research priority.


Join us for a day of thought-provoking discussions and networking with experts in global women’s health, infectious and non-communicable diseases. This event is in-person only.
